Carl W. Childress, OD, FAAO, FNAP
ABOUT
At Childress Vision Clinic our goal is to provide solutions to difficult vision, learning, and perceptual problems. Though we provide services for prescription eye-wear and contact lenses, our goal is to ensure your vision needs are met through prevention, education, and enhancement of your natural vision function.
Prescription glasses and contacts typically don't address the deficit that exists as a result of the ever growing technical environment and the demands it places on vision.
As society is faced with this increasing demand, it can overwork the vision system and result in distorted vision and perception. In more difficult cases, this can cause learning disabilities and cognitive inefficiency. In the most common case, it can cause discomfort in adapting to prescription glasses and contacts.

With a comprehensive, binocular, or developmental examination, Dr. Carl will outline a treatment plan that will provide you and your family with full functional vision and the ability to succeed in academics, athletics, or in your profession.
“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” Helen Keller
